I learned about James' story just prior to my first triathlon... as he was there competing in his first triathlon also! He even sang the Nation Anthem prior to the race. The video contains footage of our race at Lake Chelan, Wa.
James will be racing and talking to people this weekend at the triathlon I'm doing at Medical Lake. Check it out!

is he the one that was at lake chalan? he's selling the t-shirts that says fatman to iron man on them? how do you contact him? how do you get a shirt?
Yes, he has raced several times at Lake Chelan. I think the video has his email at the end, if not, a google search for 'james hicks spokane' will get you something. I think he is a motivational speaker now, so he shouldn't be too hard to find.
