She will not go quietly, this dog who shared our lives. In subtle ways she'll let us know her spirit still survives.

My condolences. I'm so sorry. It's tough to lose a member of the family. I have 3 house bunnies of my own, and my horse, George, died a little over a year ago so I can relate. It's really hard. My thoughts are with you and Precious. I'm sure she's in a much better place now, where she can do what she loved best pain-free.
Barb, I am so sorry for your loss. Precious was a very lucky dog to have had that much love in her life. She is on to a happy place with all that love in her heart. I know you will miss her. I still miss my dog that passed away almost 15 years ago. But thats only because pets mean so much to us. They really are members of our family. And she was so lucky to have a family as wonderful as you. I am so sorry for your loss and have you and Precious in my thoughts. Next time you talk to her, tell her to find Dusty the cockerpoo up there. Hes a good guy and will show her the ropes. =)
Losing a dog is harder than losing a human because people don't always understand that your dog had every bit as much of your heart as any person could've. She lived a long life and I'm willing to bet that her best years were with you guys. I'm so so sorry for your loss, especially at a time when so many things are unanswered questions. We lost Maddy, our one year old bernese mtn. dog, suddenly when she was struck and killed by a car. I think that day was the worst day of my life. But I know that Maddy, and my 15 year old golden/setter mix Coco, and our cat who thought he was a dog, Francis, will meet Precious at the gate and show her all around, with smiles and all kinds of fun. Love eachother well and know that you gave her the best home and love possible. I'll be thinking about you guys

Thank you so much for the heart felt words. Our hearts are aching, but we know she is in a better place. It's just SO hard to let go!
She added so much joy to our lives, and loved every one. She will be missed... that's for sure.
